Social Media & Network Analytics Project

For my Social Media & Network Analytics class, we completed a variety of projects using different software programs, including:

  • Network analysis on NodeXL

  • Campaign tracking on Google Analytics

  • SEO implementation & best practices

  • User Experience A/B Testing on Google Optimize

  • Web design on Adobe Dreamweaver

  • Landing Page Optimization

Here are some examples of projects I completed in the class pertaining to these tasks.

Landing Page Optimization

For our final project, we had to construct a landing page prototype for Bloodworks NW with the goal of increasing mobile application downloads. I implemented best practices to create an effective, navigable landing page that would increase our conversion rate. Some of these features include:

  • Benefit statement

  • Conversion button

Nodexl Network Analysis & Semantic Tree

twitter semantic tree

This is a semantic tree i constructed & simplified using nodexl. by importing data from bloodworks nw’s twitter and specifically looking at mentions including its twitter handle, we can identify which words and word strings are most used when others are referring to the organization.

Facebook like network grouping by cluster

fb-like-network.png

This is a facebook like network i constructed grouped by cluster with dynamic filters. by importing data from bloodworks nw’s facebook and specifically looking at the nonprofit’s “likes”, we’re able to identify the broader industries in which the organization operates most. from here we can identify areas where they can improve their affiliation (more aligned industries) and reduce interactions with those that may not serve as effective relationships
