Programmatic Traders Training Curriculum

The Problem

IAS has robust and complex technology integrated into a majority of the largest DSPs where programmatic traders can leverage (or encourage the use of) on their clients’ campaigns. However, many traders were unaware of the value that IAS solutions can add to campaign performance, which may dissuade adoption at both trader and client-level

The Solution

I was tasked to create a curriculum and standard presentation deck that would bridge the knowledge gap of IAS solutions for the programmatic trader audience. Once created, my manager and I collaborated to launch the pilot program where we scheduled training sessions with DSP Programmatic Trading teams to present the materials.

  • Created a standard deck template + talk track customized for account strategist, programmatic trader, and managed service team audiences

  • Demoed and trained the Technical Account Management on how to properly present the deck

  • Collaborated with the Knowledge Management team to craft the “IAS Traders Essentials” program - a self-paced program designed to propel and bolster the skills of traders when navigating the programmatic landscape and using IAS prebid technology.

  • Created the “Programmatic Traders Hub” on Confluence with all relevant materials, email templates, and all previous decks + recordings for the team to reference when preparing for a training session

The Result

The Technical Account Management team hosted 10 engaging training sessions across various DSPs. Following the training sessions, we saw an average 45% growth YoY for participating DSPs. For one DSP, we saw a 110% increase in usage MoM following the training. These trainings also allowed us to build stronger relationships with programmatic trading teams - creating channels for immediate assistance and collaboration, such as shared Slack spaces and recurring Office Hours sessions.
